In celebration of the 2016 Book Week, Homefield held a book fair in the LRC which stayed open after school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bucking the trend of e-readers and audio books, we are delighted to announce that over 110 books were sold to parents and pupils across the three days, totalling over £700 in sales.
There were a wide range of different genres of offer in the fair and a good thing too as the younger readers went hunting for any books with dinosaurs whilst the older boys were more discerning and purchased a wide variety of different books.
This total raised was all the more impressive as the school’s World Book Day £1 tokens had been lost in the post. The World Book Day £1 tokens will be distributed to the boys next week, after which they will be available to exchange for £1 World Book Day books until 27th March.
Happy reading everyone!
