Some 51 boys and 10 staff from the EarlyYears Department made the short trip to the Ladyland Farm in Horley this week for a hugely fun and educational visit.
The group was shown around in glorious weather by two very helpful and welcoming farmers. The boys were exceptionally well behaved and listened to everything their hosts had to say with keen interest.
The day was filled with memorable moments for the children as all got the chance to hold kids, chickens and rabbits. The highlight for the boys was certainly the bumpy tractor ride!
Everyone, including the staff, got onto the bus for the journey home completely exhausted but with great memories of a wonderful day spent in each other’s company.
Ladyland Farm, which is supported under the England Rural Development Programme by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund, is open to the public throughout August.
