For the first time ever, all pupils in Years 5 and 6 took part in the Primary Mathematics Challenge.
The challenge, which is an annual event aimed at the top young mathematicians in the UK and across the world, is designed to be fun, encourage enthusiasm for mathematics, boost confidence, and make pupils think outside the box.
Homefield boys achieved some outstanding results, with a total of 19 bronze, 17 silver and the following 10 gold certificates being awarded.
With a score of 20: Abdullah, Atticus, Humayun, Benjamin, Ahaljan, Jacob
With a score of 21: Joshua, Qasim
With a score of 22: Hishaam
With a score of 23: Aayush
Aayush, Hishamm, Qasim and Joshua have all qualified for the prestigious 2nd round, we wish them the very best of luck for this.
A special mention must also go to Edmund and Eric in Year 4, who both took the challenge a year early and were among those who achieved Silver and Bronze certificates.
