Boys in Year 6 entered the Young Writers’ Ancient Adventures History-based creative writing competition last term and we are delighted to announce that a number have had their stories recognised.
The competition was set up to celebrate 25 years of the ‘Young Writers’ and required students from across the UK to submit a story in no more than 100 words on a historical topic of their choosing. The competition lends itself wonderfully to both British and World History topics and gives the freedom to explore people, places and events throughout history.
The following boys were recognised for their well-written and imaginative stories, which will be published in Ancient Adventures – Surrey:
The boys will also all receive their certificates in assembly this week, affording them the opportunity to be congratulated by their peers. Well done boys.
