We are delighted that you are considering Homefield for your son at 7+, 8+ or 9+. 

Homefield welcomes boys from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds, and we value the unique contribution each child brings to our community. Our assessment days give boys the chance to experience our warm environment, explore our broad and vibrant curriculum, and allow us to understand their individual strengths and potential.

To help you plan, we have outlined the key dates and requirements for 7+, 8+ and 9+ entry below.

Key Dates

• Registration deadline: Monday 2nd November 2026

• 7+, 8+ and 9+ Assessment Day: Tuesday 10th November 2026* (9.00am – 12.00pm)
  *A secondary date will become available upon request if your son can no longer attend.

• Offer notification: Within two weeks of the assessment

• Acceptance deadline: Friday 4th December 2026 (with deposit and signed Terms & Conditions)

The Assessment Morning will include

• Online abilities test including Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning

• English creative writing and Mathematics (mental arithmetic and problem-solving)

• Refreshment break

• Drama/creative activity to finish the session

Documents Required (to be received before the assessment)

• Registration form

• Full end-of-year school report

• Original birth certificate (must be viewed in person – may be brought on the day)

• Visa and supporting documents (if applicable)
