Strategic Plan 2025-2028
For many years now, our Year 6 boys have had great success in securing places at a number of highly competitive senior schools. Not only are these achievements a testament to the tremendous talent and commitment of our boys, but it also speaks to our ethos as a school: to encourage every pupil to embrace challenges with endeavour and resilience.
This success has inevitably had its consequences. Indeed, the outstanding results at 11+ this year builds on a long-standing trend of our pupils being awarded attractive places at 11+ rather than 13+. This comes in the context of a broader shift in parental preferences when choosing senior school destinations, with fewer schools offering places at 13+.
The Board has therefore taken the decision that in the next academic year (2025-2026) and henceforth, we will not have a Year 7 cohort. The current Year 7 will be able to continue their Homefield education through to Year 8. This means that by the academic year 2026-2027, Homefield will be an 11+ school.
Our priority during this transition period is to ensure that our boys and families are encouraged and supported with a full range of opportunities, rigorous academic grounding and sporting challenge, all of which Homefield is known for.
