Medical

Homefield Preparatory School has a medical room in which boys who have small accidents or who become ill during the school day can be cared for until collection by their parents. The school must be given full details of any important or long-term medical problems and parental contact numbers must be supplied and kept up-to-date.

If your son is absent from school due to ill health, please inform the school office before 8.45am, either by telephone on 0208 642 0965 or by email: absence@homefieldprep.school

If your son suffers vomiting or diarrhoea, he must not attend school until 48 hours have passed since the last occurrence of the symptoms. Conjunctivitis or other communicable diseases should also be treated appropriately at home to minimise the risk of infection to others.

In accordance with the First Aid Policy parents must complete and provide the school with a medical consent form if the school is to administer medicines. If a boy requires medication, this should always be clearly labelled detailing the dosage required and handed in at the School Office. If a student has an on-going medical condition you must complete a Healthcare Plan.
